King of Langley at the Rats Castle St Albans, August 28th

August 27th, 2009
Back to the Rat’s Castle for another night of Langley inspired drinking, to lively eclectic music and good company in a nice venue with good beer, a fresh landlord/landlady, Jay the 1 1/2 armed bassist, nifty pool table moving trolley, Matt (khazi bro #2) on drums, dartboard, Alex (the gurn) on left wing, nice smoking enclosure, Campbell (Khazi brother #1) on right wing, space to dance if you fancy cutting up the rug, Mikel on lead howl and screech.

In fact, everything except a luxury set of carving knives, cudly toy and a Blankety Blank Cheque Book and Pen!

still buzzing from the night before at the Robin Hood

August 23rd, 2009

Well what can I say…we rocked last night (well I would say that!).

Loved that guitar-off between Al and Cam during Higher Ground…love that song, but then I would, I’m the bass player!

Seriously though, we had a great night and it seems like everyone who saw us did to!

It was a real pleasure to play at such a lovely pub, and thanks to everyone that came to see us, and anyone who just stopped to say hello!

So where next?

Well, now that the summer holidays are drawing to a close, we’re popping up all over the place.

Next week we’re at the Rat’s Castle in St Albans (on Hatfield Road by Morrisons) which is Matt and Jas’ local.

It would be lovely to see any Lang-Lords and Lang-Ladies and any new faces!

See you there!

Jas – the 1.5 armed bass player

Kings of Langley, Live at the Robin Hood, St Albans

August 21st, 2009

It’s been a few weeks now since we’ve played this summer as lot’s has been happening.

Jas-the-bass has bought a guitar but has wisely stuck to his bass for health and safety reasons.
Cam and Alex have been refining their impressive range of effects, polishing their Gibsons and stoking up their amps ready for our next big night out.

Matt’s been fettling with his drums, and Mike’s been driving his neighbours mad at 8:00 every morning by singing Dance Commander by the Electric 6 in the shower (no change there then!).

It’s the height of the holiday season and we’re looking forward to being back at the Robin Hood in St Albans for another great night.

We’re keeping a few new numbers under wraps for the moment, but once we’ve got planning permission and public liability insurance, we’ll be unleashing them in their glory!

We’ll be there from 20:00, and we hope you will be too!

See you tomorrow!
